ADNH net profit in Q2 touches Dh276 million Posted on 31/07/2008
Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), the UAE's leading diversified hotel, tourism, transport and catering company, today announced a net profit of Dh276.7 million for the second quarter of 2008 marking a 5.6 percent increase over Dh262 million in profit recorded by the company during the corresponding period in 2007.

Air Arabia breaks ground on construction of its budget hotel Posted on 28/07/2008
Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it has begun construction of the 300-room budget hotel at Sharjah Airport. The hotel accommodation classification system recently launched by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) is being recommended by the Arab Tourism Ministerial Council (ATMC) as a paradigm for regional best practice. Dubai will soon introduce an amended rule for hotel classification in the emirate. Director General, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Khalid A. Bin Sulayem disclosed yesterday that the new classification has been thoroughly revised by experts and it is time for its introduction.
