General Secretariat of the Federal National Council (FNC) has sent its statement over the recent Iranian actions at Abu Musa Island to the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU), which will serve all Arab Parliaments with the copies of the statement.
Earlier, the statement called on the Republic Islamic of Iran to immediately remove the administrative offices set up at the UAE's Abu Musa Island, urging all the world parliaments to back the UAE in its legitimate sovereignty

The UAE's Federal National Council (FNC) yesterday urged Iran to comply with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 1971 by the two countries on the Abu Musa Island.
FNC also urged Iran to promptly dismantle its two offices which it said were illegally set up on the Island.

The International Parliamentary Union (IPU) has endorsed nomination of Rashid Mohammed Khalfan Al Shareqi, a UAE member of parliament, to the executive committee of the IPU, which will commence its session on October. Speaker of the Federal National Council Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair met yesterday Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Nechervan Idris Barzani and the accompanying delegation who are currently visiting the UAE.

The United Arab Emirates slammed Iran on Tuesday for terming as a "misunderstanding" their row over three Gulf islands, saying the islands were under Iranian occupation and were no less precious than Arab lands occupied by Israel. The 13th session of the Federal National Council (FNC) asserted the need to implement reciprocal immigration procedures for UAE nationals in foreign countries that are offered visa privileges for their citizens in the UAE.
