The UAE's Federal National Council (FNC) yesterday urged Iran to comply with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 1971 by the two countries on the Abu Musa Island. FNC also urged Iran to promptly dismantle its two offices which it said were illegally set up on the Island. The International Parliamentary Union (IPU) has endorsed nomination of Rashid Mohammed Khalfan Al Shareqi, a UAE member of parliament, to the executive committee of the IPU, which will commence its session on October.
